Weird Fantasy v2 #19 - Al Williamson art

Weird Fantasy v2 #19, 1953 - In the distant future, a spaceman heads off to war in a spaceship equipped with an advanced electronic brain. Despite the small panels and abundant dialogue, Al Williamson's efforts are admirable. His painterly style infuses the tale with movement and spontaneity. The first two pages are particularly good, firmly establishing the setting and characters. Other artists in this issue include Will Elder, Jack Kamen, Joe Orlando and John Severin. This is number 6 of 8 Weird Fantasy issues with Williamson art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Williamson or Weird Fantasy issues. See also this blog's Williamson checklist.
