Detective Comics #469 - Walt Simonson art

Detective Comics v1 #469, 1977 - Fifty people succumb to a mysterious illness, brought upon by the vengeful Dr. Phosphorus. Walt Simonson's pencils lose their luster mostly due to Al Milgrom's sloppy inking. Figures and especially faces are poorly defined. Unfortunately, Simonson's efforts or recognizable only in the page layouts. Note that this issue marks Dr. Phosphorus' origin and first appearance. Other artists in this issue include Jim Aparo (cover). This is number 9 of 11 Detective Comics issues with Simonson art and/or covers.
