Savage Sword of Conan v1 #49, 1980 - Muscular and weighty, this Nestor Redondo cover may have been inspired by Théodore Géricault's The Charging Chasseur. The layout is complex but generally orderly. Redondo's color palette is subtle, particularly in the varying skin tones. Oddly enough, Conan's horse does his part in fending off attackers.
