Foxhole #4 - Jack Kirby cover

Jack Kirby

Foxhole v1 #4, 1955 - A jarring combination of reds and greens makes a compelling image. The soldier stares blankly ahead, made weary by the death and destruction around him. Even his camouflaged face has a surreal quality to it. Jack Kirby's portrait is real, sincere and psychologically powerful. Other artists in this issue include Art Gates, Jo Albistur and Robert McCarty. This is number 14 of 6 Foxhole issues with Kirby art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Kirby or Foxhole issues.
