Mister Miracle #12 - Jack Kirby art & cover

Mister Miracle v1 #12 dc bronze age comic book cover art by Jack Kirby
Jack Kirby
Mister Miracle v1 #12, 1973 - Procuring an ancient mystical icon, a multi-millionaire sets up a death trap for Mister Miracle for which there is seemingly no escape. From military personnel to Big Barda and her female warriors (see interior page below), Jack Kirby populates the pages with distinctively drawn characters. His cover roughly replicates the opening splash, but it's the title page that deserves the most accolades: a fully costumed Scott Free amidst reporters and photographers (page 5). This is number 12 of 18 Mr. Miracle issues with Kirby art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Kirby or Mister Miracle issues. See also this blog's Jack Kirby checklist.
