Avengers v1 #165, 1977 - Siphoning off energy from his super-powered lackeys, Count Nefaria becomes powerful enough to take on all of the Avengers. John Byrne's artwork pulses with excitement as each hero takes a turn at their seemingly invincible foe. The layouts are fast-paced and frenetic. Pablo Marco's inks are better in some pages than others. Wonder Man careening through Avengers mansion (see interior page below) is one of the more spectacular scenes. Cover by George Perez.
