Aces High #3 |
Aces High v1 #3, 1955 - Due to overwhelming guilt, an aspiring pilot decides to ground himself and become an airport mechanic instead. Wally Wood draws this tale of redemption with his usual skillfulness. Nearly every panel is well detailed, including views from high altitude. Most noteworthy is his opening panel, depicting a working airfield and the men tasked with keeping the machines aloft. This story was later reprinted in
Aces High v2 #3. Other artists in this golden age comic include Bernie Krigstein, Jack Davis and George Evans. This is number 3 of 5
Aces High issues by
Wood.
