True Love Problems and Advice Illustrated #42 - non-attributed Jack Kirby cover

Jack Kirby
True Love Problems and Advice Illustrated v1 #42, 1956 - Most of Jack Kirby's figure drawings are expressionistic, which leads me to give him plenty of artistic license. In this case, however, the couple is a little too mannikin-like for my tastes. Kirby does a nice job adding other elements (tree, lamp post, disapproving policeman) to increase depth and interest. Al Avison may be the inker. Other artists in this golden age comic include Bill Prentice, Bill Draut and Bob Powell. This is 3 of 3 True Love Problems and Advice issues by Kirby. /// Kirby gallery
