Legion of Super-Heroes v2 #268
Legion of Super-Heroes v2 #268, 1980 - Coming from the planet Avatanda, an enlightened humanoid kidnaps Dream Girl, Karate Kid and Chameleon Boy as part of a grand plan. His first full length feature on this title, Steve Ditko's work is sometimes monotonous, even despite two full splash pages. Additionally, Bob Wiacek's inking adds little to improve the overall results. Dr. Mayavale's spiritual transformation (see interior page below) is perhaps the best scene, incorporating some of Ditko's eclectic statuary. This copper age comic includes cover art by George Perez and Terry Austin. This is 2 of 6 Legion of Super-Heroes v2 issues by Ditko.
