Crime Suspenstories #1 - Wally Wood art

Crime Suspenstories v1 #1, 1950 - When her true love travels around the world, a young woman settles for his less adventurous twin brother. Their eventual reunion leads to some nefarious double-crossing. Like much of his early works, Wally Wood has a spontaneous yet attractive line quality. Simplistic layouts are partially offset by dramatic and intentional lighting. Not surprisingly, his first page is sumptuously detailed. This is number 1 of 2 Crime Suspenstories issues with Wood art. Other artists in this issue include Johnny Craig, Graham Ingels, Jack Kamen and Harvey Kurtzman. See today's posts or more Wood or Crime Suspenstories issues. See also this blog's Wood checklist.
