Boy Loves Girl #43 - Alex Toth art

Boy Loves Girl #43
Boy Loves Girl v1 #43, 1953 - Although warned by her friends, Lisa Pettit becomes involved with Tony, a man with a reputation of being a wolf. Several dates later, she innocently accepts an invitation to his remote mountain cabin. Alex Toth's artwork is generally short on scenery, choosing instead to focus on the characters and their interpersonal relationship. Panels are masterfully cropped and composed, particularly the faces. Mike Peppe's inks are complementary and most effective on interior cabin scene on the title page. Other artists in this issue include Shelly Moldoff and John Celardo. This is 1 of 3 Boy Loves Girl issues by Toth.
