Haunt of Fear v2 #4 - Wally Wood art

Haunt of Fear v2 #4, 1950 - In one of Wally Wood's earliest works, a starving artist commits murder and finds himself unable to stop painting. His mildly gruesome scenes demonstrate an emerging style not incompatible with the horror genre. Wood's drawing skills are primitive but satisfactory. His pacing and layouts, however, struggle for clarity and cohesion. Other artists in this issue include Graham Ingels, Jack Kamen, Jack Davis and Al Feldstein (cover). This is number 3 of 5 Haunt of Fear issues with Wood art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Wood or Haunt of Fear issues. See also this blog's Wood checklist.
