Adventure Comics #161 |
Adventure Comics v1 #161, 1951 - A gang of swindlers add mechanical wings to several horses, selling them off as the authentic Winged Victory. Alarmed, the Shining Knight concocts a plan that would foil them. The story's theme and circumstances allow
Frank Frazetta to demonstrate his talent for drawing horses. His equine anatomy seems utterly convincing, surpassing that of most of his peers. Frazetta opens this tale with a magnificent panel of Sir Justin and his pegasus under fire. This story was later reprinted in
Adventure Comics #417 and
Masterworks Series of Great Comic Book Artists #2. Other artists in this comic include Ralph Mayo, John Sikela and George Papp. This is 7 of 8
