Western Outlaws v2 #11 - Al Williamson art

Western Outlaws v2 #11
Western Outlaws v2 #11, 1955 - A newly appointed sheriff must prove himself to the town's skeptical populace, taking on troublemakers and cattle rustlers. Al Williamson's opening panel of an impending showdown elicits little excitement. Later scenes, set in the frontier wilderness, show more overt enthusiasm (see interior page below). Certain pages border on too much dialogue, but Williamson's skillful drawings more than compensate. Other artists in this golden age comic include Gene Colan and Ross Andru. Cover by Joe Maneely. This is 1 of 3 Western Outlaws v2 issues by Williamson.
