Star Trek v2 #17, 1981 - Already crowded by a large television ad, Walt Simonson's cover strategically places a handful of elements. The portraits of Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock and Dr. McCoy fit snugly on the left. A sun-like planet frames the spaceship Enterprise while its perimeter erupts. Although simple in design, Simonson's cover succeeds in creating a harmonious whole. Other artists in this copper age science fiction comic include Ed Hannigan, Tom Palmer and Dave Simons. This is 1 of 1 Star Trek v2 issues by Simonson.
