Amazing Adventures v3 #12 - Mike Ploog art

Amazing Adventures v3 #12 featuring the Beast, 1972 - Hank McCoy, the original Beast from the X-men, permanently transforms into a real beast the previous issue. Mike Ploog, the artist who introduced other bronze age monster/heroes (Werewolf by Night, Ghost Rider, etc.), delivers a distinctive inking job. On the superb opening splash, a rain-soaked Beast contemplates as water drips around his newly grotesque form. Ploog's style is evident throughout, to the benefit of the artwork. Other artists in this issue include Gil Kane (cover). This is number 1 of 1 Amazing Adventures v3 issues with Ploog art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Ploog or Amazing Adventures issues.
