Showcase v1 #80 featuring the Phantom Stranger, 1969 - With the exception of a few framing pages, reprints from Phantom Stranger volume 1 fill most of the issue. Still, you have to admire Neal Adams' darker, contemporary version of the character. Note how the ghostly images swirl clockwise toward the focal point. This is also the only time I recall seeing the Stranger's face and hair in full view. Other artists in this issue include Bill Draut.
