The Unseen #5 - Alex Toth art

The Unseen #5, 1952 - Arriving from London, a young couple is lured to the English countryside by the legend of a ghostly thief. Alex Toth uses an abundance of shadows and silhouettes reinforce the tale's eerie atmosphere. These are counterbalanced by other panels with greater details. Toth's layouts are a bit rigid, but showcase his fine drawing skills, especially on page three. This is number 1 of 4 The Unseen issues with Toth art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Toth or Unseen issues. See also this blog's Toth checklist.
