Steve Ditko
Blue Beetle v5 #5, 1967 - In this final issue of the series, Steve Ditko uses fine art as a backdrop for some of his own artistic and philosophical beliefs. The cover's idea of contrasting the heroic versus the introspective is distinctive, more so than the drawing itself (note his version of Edvard Munch's The Scream on the right). Ditko reverts back to using smaller, more numerous panels on both Blue Beetle and Question stories, with less dynamic results. His opening splash is static and heavy in dialogue, In the same scene though, Ditko makes up for this presenting his own modern art interpretations. This is 5 of 5 Blue Beetle issues by Ditko.
