Scorpio Rose #2 - Marshall Rogers art & cover

Marshall Rogers
Scorpio Rose v1 #2, 1983 - Unlike the premiere issue, Marshall Rogers' panels are more numerous and a bit more crowded on the opening Scorpio Rose story. The artist's pacing and layouts are well planned, but suffer from almost neon-like coloration that's painfully distracting. The issue's highlight is the final splash page, presenting an ethereal scene of Rogers' design. The artist also inks over his own pencils on the Dr. Orient back-up tale. It comfortably meets expectations but is far from exceptional. This is number 2 of 2 Scorpio Rose issues with Rogers art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Rogers or Scorpio Rose issues.
