TV Stars v1 #3, 1978 - During the late 1970s, Marvel Comics dabbled in comics based on kids television shows. Often overlooked is this bronze age issue by
Alex Toth, a rarity for this publisher. He designed Hanna-Barbera's Space Ghost for television back in the 1960s, but this appears to be the his only comic book rendition of the hero. This tale featuring a time traveler from the 1930s has few action scenes, but is entertaining regardless. Toth's cover is rendered more simply than necessary, but his interior drawings and visual storytelling meet expectations. Dave Stevens, creator of The Rocketeer, is credited with the inks on The Herculoids story. Other artists in this comic include Paul Norris (on Dynomutt) and Will Meugniot. This is 1 of 1
