Marvel Preview #6 - Neal Adams art

Marvel Preview #6
Marvel Preview v1 #6 presents Sherlock Holmes, 1976 - Concluding the "Hound of the Baskervilles" storyline, Marvel Comics gives its own rendition of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's most famous detective. Neal Adams illustrates only the inside front cover, depicting a lone Sherlock Holmes evading gunfire. The composition is bit bland, but I like how the London fog obscures unnecessary elements and reinforces the mysterious tone. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Val Mayerik and Tony DeZuniga. Cover by Ken Barr. This is 2 of 2 Marvel Preview issues by Adams.

I thought Wrightson may have had a hand in this, but Nealadams.com credits Val Mayerik. This explains the bland composition. Holmes looks 100% Adams. Wrightson probably influenced Mayerik's Man-Thing.
