DC Comics Presents #85 - Al Williamson art

DC Comics Presents v1 #85, 1985 - Superman falls prey to a deadly fungus originally from Krypton. The Swamp Thing encounters him at his most delirious, dangerous state. Alan Moore's deftly written tale pairs him with artist Rick Veitch, but it's Al Williamson's inks that enhance the dramatic and exotic aspects of the story. The ominous title splash, the scenes of Krypton's Scarlet Jungle and the aftermath of a decimated forest are especially noteworthy. This is number 2 of 3 DC Comics Presents issues with Williamson art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Williamson or DC Comics Presents issues. See also this blog's Williamson checklist.
