Barry Windsor Smith |
New Mutants v1 #36, 1986 - Similar in tone to earlier issues on the title,
Barry Smith's cover exudes a dark, sinister feel. Kitty Pryde of the X-men is bound and suspended in marionette-like fashion. A sword, a satanic symbol, and numerous skulls surround her limp figure. Smith's terrific pencils are further augmented by the eerily cool color palette. Other artists in this issue include include Mary Wilshire and Bill Sienkiewicz. This is 1 of 10
