Brave and the Bold v1 #83, 1969 - Bruce Wayne is obligated to adopt an orphaned teenager, the son of his father's dear friend. Finding him dishonest and calculating, Robin brings in the Teen Titans to keep him out of trouble. Neal Adams works with a multitude of heroes, yet avoids overcrowding panels. His draftsmanship continues to be impressive, bringing expression and emotion in each character's close-up. The fight scenes where Batman and the Titans join forces (page 15) are particularly good. This story was later reprinted in Best of the Brave and the Bold #6. This issue also includes cover artwork by Irv Novick. This is 7 of 17 Brave and the Bold issues by Adams.
