Donald Duck / Four Color Comics v2 #291 - Carl Barks art

Walt Disney's Donald Duck / Four Color Comics v2 #291, 1950 - Is a magic hourglass the secret of Uncle Scrooge's riches? Donald and his nephews try to find out by travelling to distant Morocco. Carl Barks draws camels, shieks and oases in convincing style, giving readers a strong sense of place. Panel shapes vary widely, breaking a monotonous grid. In addition, a handful of larger panels are among the highlights, including Donald's fishing boat powered by sharks (page 9 panel 1) and the breathtaking view of Duckburg from above (page 1 panel 1). This story was later reprinted in Donald Duck Adventures #16. This is number 16 of 43 Donald Duck issues with Barks art and/or covers (not including reprints).
