Neal Adams |
Brave and the Bold v1 #80, 1968 - Recently introduced in
Showcase #73, the Creeper makes his first cross-over appearance. Teaming up against the insect-like Hellgrammite, the heroes meet for the first time. Unlike the graphic approach used by Steve Ditko (the Creeper's creator),
Neal Adams' drawings are more realistic and tangible. His rendition of the character is arguably less stylistic. Still, figures and settings are beautifully drawn within thrilling layouts. This silver age story was later reprinted in
Best of Brave and the Bold #4. This is 4 of 17
