The Thing #14 - Steve Ditko art & cover

Steve Ditko
The Thing v1 #14, 1954 - Bat-like humanoids run amok on this arresting Steve Ditko cover. His creatures are among the strangest, yet most interesting designs of the golden age. Full of youthful enthusiasm, the artist's signature appears in the lower left corner. Three of his four interior tales display the same artistic fervor. "Rumpelstiltskin" (shown below) is the most distinctive, providing a twisted version of the children's fairy tale. This horror classic was later reprinted in >Tales Too Terrible to Tell #8. This is 3 of 5 Thing issues by Ditko.
