Gang Busters #17 |
Gang Busters v1 #17, 1950 - Modern day rustlers use current technologies to steal cattle during the dead of night. Like several
Frank Frazetta tales, the FBI agent who breaks the case has more than a passing resemblance to the artist. Compared to his previous issue on this series, the overall linework is thicker and a tad more heavy-handed. The opening panel looks similar in style to Jack Davis, Joe Kubert and other colleagues of the era. Still, most panels convey Frazetta's own recognizable style. His artwork maintains an approach to visual storytelling that's fully engaging. This is 2 of 2
