Flash #219 |
The Flash v1 #219, 1973 - Due to a critically injured Black Canary, Green Lantern brings Green Arrow back from exile to save her life. On the opening scene,
Neal Adams captures the full force and impact of a car accident. Subsequent pages are more idyllic, showing a peaceful monastery nestled in the wilderness. Even when an armed thug confronts the heroes (see interior page below), the artist maintains a natural serenity in the background. Adams' last back-up tale on this series also benefits from his own inking. This story was later reprinted in
DC Special Blue Ribbon Digest #16 and
Green Lantern Green Arrow #7. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Irv Novick. This is 12 of 14
Flash issues by
Adams.
