Flash #217 |
The Flash v1 #217, 1972 - Fresh from their critically acclaimed run, Green Lantern and Green Arrow begin as a back-up feature. In pursuit of criminals, the emerald archer accidentally kills one of them when a shot goes awry. The severe shock that follows is dramatically captured by
Neal Adams. Subsequent pages, depicting Green Lantern's search for his now missing partner, is equally compelling. Among the many excellent drawings, GL's somber discovery (page 7) stands out for its clarity and emotion. This story was later reprinted in
DC Special Blue Ribbon Digest #16 and
Green Lantern Green Arrow #7. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Irv Novick. This is 10 of 14
Flash issues by
Adams.
