Witching Hour v1 #4, 1969 - Alex Toth supplies several framing pages, setting the tone and providing an introduction and conclusion to the issue. His opening splash features a terrific portrait of the three witches that serve as series hosts. Toth's bold, graphic style is not only appropriate here but typical of his early bronze age work. Kudos also to Nick Cardy, whose intricately detailed rain-swept cover is among his very best. Other artists in this silver age comic include Jack Sparling, George Roussos, Pat Boyette and Jose Delbo. - - - - - - - - - -
