Witching Hour #4 - Alex Toth art

Witching Hour v1 #4, 1969 - Alex Toth supplies several framing pages, setting the tone and providing an introduction and conclusion to the issue. His opening splash features a terrific portrait of the three witches that serve as series hosts. Toth's bold, graphic style is not only appropriate here but typical of his early bronze age work. Kudos also to Nick Cardy, whose rain-swept cover is among his very best. Other artists in this issue include Jack Sparling, George Roussos, Pat Boyette and Jose Delbo. This is number 3 of 10 Witching Hour issues with Toth art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Toth or Witching Hour issues. See also this blog's Toth checklist.
