Adventures on the Planet of the Apes #6 marvel 1970s comic book cover by Jim Starlin
Jim Starlin
Adventures on the Planet of the Apes v1 #6, 1976 - A contingent of gorilla soldiers turn toward their quarry: a human on horseback. Jim Starlin depicts them more savagely than most, swarming over the Statue of Liberty's remnants. They are also posed in typical Starlin fashion: braced and ready for action. Inside, the movie adaptations continue. There is no Mike Ploog art, despite what some comic book guides say. The artist's work does appear in 10 issues of Planet of the Apes magazine. Other artists in this bronze age science fiction comic includes George Tuska and Mike Esposito. This is 1 of 1 Adventures on the Planet of the Apes issues by Starlin.
