Werewolf By Night v1 #14, 1974 - The sorcerer Taboo makes a final stand, ordering his mindless creature to kill Jack Russell's alter ego. Mike Ploog's cramped opening page quickly leads into a full page spread of the werewolf in battle. His drawings are most distinctive when used in free-form montage, such as pages 9 and 15. Overall the art meets expectations, as does Ploog's typically-themed cover. Kudos go to Frank Chiaramonte, whose inks retain the passion and enthusiasm of the original pencils. This is 10 of 12
