Christmas Parade #8 - Carl Barks art

Walt Disney's Christmas Parade v1 (Dell Giant) #8, 1956 - Among this collection of Christmas tales is a quaint Gyro Gearloose and Grandma Duck story by Carl Barks. The quirky inventor comes up with a new machine that renders Grandma's beloved farm obsolete. Barks' own inventiveness shows up in Gyro's various gadget designs and the subtle background gags interspersed throughout. While not known for "duck" stories, Other characters featured in this issue include Mickey Mouse, Uncle Scrooge, Jiminy Cricket, Chip n' Dale, Minnie Mouse, Clarabelle Cow and the Three Little Pigs. This is number 3 of 5 Christmas Parade issues with Barks art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Barks or Christmas Parade issues. See also this blog's Barks checklist.
