House of Mystery v1 #190, 1971 - Seeking a young lady's favor, a gentlemen accepts a dare to sleep overnight in a haunted house. The opening splash by
Alex Toth has him surrounded by a bevy of ghosts and ghouls. The various shapes and faces come together in a superbly executed layout. On other pages, some panels are more detailed than others, but the visual storytelling is clear and unambiguous.
