Doctor Strange v2 #51 - Marshall Rogers art & cover
Doctor Strange v2 #51, 1982 - Trapped in a Nazi-occupied castle during WWII, Dr. Strange must stop a pair of mystics from sacrificing Clea and bringing Dormammu into this dimension. More panels are employed by Marshall Rogers than previous issues, while maintaining a high level of detail. As usual, his graphic renditions of mystical forces are excellent. The climactic scene on page 19 is wondrous blend of line and texture. As seen on Rogers' vibrant cover, Sgt. Fury and the Howling Commandos make a guest appearance. This is number 4 of 6 Doctor Strange issues with Rogers art and/or covers. New format tweaks continue, hopefully improving the site. All posts now have large scans of both covers and interior pages. All scans are now captioned, credited to the featured artist on this blog. Any feedback is appreciated.
