Vacation in Disneyland / Four Color Comics #1025 - Carl Barks art

Walt Disney's Vacation in Disneyland / Four Color Comics #1025, 1959 - In a clever theme park promotion, this issue places Disney characters in various spots around Disneyland. The collection of tales includes Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Minnie at the submarine ride, Uncle Scrooge and Grandma Duck in Frontierland, Donald Duck and his nephews at the Matterhorn, and Gyro Gearloose and Gus in Tomorrowland. Carl Barks draws three of the four stories, all superbly told. The Scrooge tale has a more impressive opening panel, and is more elaborate in its pioneer-era costumes and settings. The center spread uses a game format that incorporates a map of Disneyland. This is number 1 of 1 Vacation in Disneyland issue with Barks art and/or covers.
