Stalker #3 - Steve Ditko / Wally Wood art & cover

Stalker v1 #3 dc bronze age comic book cover art by Steve Ditko, Wally Wood
Steve Ditko / Wally Wood
Stalker v1 #3, 1975 - This cover by Steve Ditko is easily the most dynamic of the series. Several elements are placed diagonally, reinforcing a bold x-shaped design. The story pages are comparable in quality, filled with the artist's distinctive and inventive shapes (see interior page below). Wally Wood's inks permeate every panel, but his details on the Burning Isle's desolate landscape is especially good (page 5). His finishes make an equally superb contribution to an overall fine effort. This is number 3 of 4 Stalker issues with Ditko art and/or covers and number 3 of 4 Stalker issues with Wood art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Wood, Ditko or Stalker issues.
