Silver Surfer v3 #4 - Marshall Rogers art & cover

Marshall Rogers
Silver Surfer v3 #4, 1987 - Mantis saves the Surfer's life, while recalling the Avengers-Defenders battle and her own origins. Marshall Rogers' opening spread is creatively drawn, using broken shards as a metaphor for a new awakening. Aside from the alien landscape on pages 16-17 and the action scenes (pages 20-22), the artwork is crowded and heavy with dialogue. Sadly, an inherent flatness seems to permeate much of Rogers' work during this era. This is 4 of 13 Silver Surfer v3 issues by Rogers. /// Rogers gallery
