(Walt Disney's) Gyro Gearloose / Four Color Comics v2 #1184, 1961 - Continuing the misadventures of Donald Duck's neighborhood inventor, Carl Barks provides the art for yet another issue. Four separate stories are comfortably illustrated, but the most visually humorous is "Mighty but Miserable". Gyro finds himself pitted against the nefarious Beagle Boys, gaining super-strength in the process. Barks is masterful in drawing these types of characters, but he is equally adept at conceiving brilliant sight gags (see interior page below). Note that there are also three single stand-alone pages not by Barks. Both the inside front cover and the tale "Brain-Strain" were later reprinted in Walt Disney Showcase #18, "Mighty but Miserable" in Walt Disney Comics Digest #25, "Mechanized Mess" in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #409 and "Monsterville" in Walt Disney Comics Digest #21.
