(Meet) Misty v1 #1, 1985 - A teenage girl in the suburbs dreams of move stardom, but first she has to win her high school's talent contest. Marvel introduces Misty Collins to a pre-teen female audience, along with her girlfriends Spike and Shirelle and her nemesis Darline. Like Millie the Model in the 1960s, this series contains the characters' fashionable outfits in paper doll format. Misty, written and drawn by Trina Robbins, is published by Marvel under the Star Comics imprint.
