The Boys v1 #1, 2006 - Hugh Campbell, consummate nerd, finally finds the love of his life Robin. Unfortunately, she's killed instantly when the path of a super-speedster (A-Train) chasing a villain. Grief-stricken, he's recruited by Billy Butcher, an operative forming a team to keep superheroes in check. Not too dissimilar to the tv series, this first issue was written by Garth Ennis and drawn by Darick Robertson. Cover by Robertson. Published by DC under the Wildstorm imprint.
