
Woodsy Owl v1 #1, 1973 - Created as a mascot for the United States Forest Service, this character appeared in advertising campaigns to dissuade littering and pollution. His motto, "Give a Hoot, Don't Pollute" reached millions of children across the country. This first issue was written by Don R. Christensen and nicely drawn by Al Hubbard. Cover by Hubbard.
