Dracula v1 #NN (no number) (#1), 1966 - Receiving word of his son's death, Sir Basil Shawcross seeks the help of his friend and folklorist Professor Janos Tesla. Instead of adapting the Bram Stoker novel, this first issue features an original tale written by Bernhardt J. Hurwood and drawn by Max Elkan. Dracula himself appears only toward the end of the story. Note the painted cover depicts a Bela Lugosi-like version of the vampire. /// key 1st issue
