Teen Titans v1 #24, 1969 - An inherently powerful image, an armed skiier has apparently taken down the teen heroes. Nick Cardy perfectly positions their fallen bodies into a cohesive design. The masked villain looms over them, his gun leading the reader's eye downward toward the title characters. Inside resides a superb story drawn by Gil Kane. Layouts, pacing and overall drawings are excellent, rivaling Neal Adams' work only a few issues before. Cardy's inks are equally impressive, adding detail and definition throughout.
