Archie Comics v1 #1, 1942 - First appearing in Pep Comics #22, the well-intentioned teenager who stumbles through life gets his own series. In this first issue, an invite is accidentally sent to wealthy Veronica Lodge in New York City. To everyone's surprise, she shows up at Riverdale High's prom. In addition to Veronica, the usual group of supporting characters are also present: Betty, Jughead, Reggie. Mr Weatherbee and Miss Grundy. All Archie stories were written and drawn by Bob Montana. Cubby the Bear, Judge Owl and others are featured in their own stories. Cover by Montana.
