Punisher v1 #1, 1986 - Frank Castle, newly arrived in prison, catches the attention of his foe Jigsaw who's also incarcerated. After meeting the prison "boss", the Punisher agrees to take part in a bold escape. This first issue marks the debut of the Punisher's own title since his debut. The cover says four issues, but it's actually five in the complete limited series. Issues #3 and #4 have the same error. This Steven Grant story was drawn by Mike Zeck and John Beatty. Cover by Zeck. The Punisher's first ongoing series premieres a year later.- - - - - - - - - -
