The Monkees v1 #1, 1967 - Brought together as a pseudo-rock band, Davy Jones, Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork premiered on television only a year before. This comic book series soon followed, expanding upon the group's misadventures. Like this first issue, all the covers on the series use a montage of photos from the tv show. Stories were written by D. J. Arneson and drawn by Mo Marcus and Sal Trapani. Photo cover.
