(Marge's) Little Lulu v1 / Four Color v2 #74, 1942 - Created by Marjorie Henderson Buell in the 1930s, Little Lulu rejected the notion that girls were inferior to boys. Smart beyond her years, she often outwitted boys who sought to take advantage. Lulu starred in newspaper strips before transitioning into comics. She makes first appearance in this issue, along with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Moppet and her friends Tubby and Alvin.
